Almost 70% of the working population are entitled every 2 years, under their PRSI, to a free eye test. A spouse of a PRSI contributor is covered in the same way.

Prior authorisation is required but in most cases this can be done in a matter of days- have your PRSI no. ready when making an appointment.

Medical card holders are entitled to a free eye test and standard spectacles – or a contribution towards other ranges, but must apply first for authorisation to the local Health Board. Forms are available from our practice.
