Low Vision Aids

Low Vision aids include various traditional forms of magnifiers – hand-held, self-illuminated, hands-free, flexi-stand, telescopic, line readers etc but also newer non-optical devices such as CCTV (eg Max) and electronic magnifiers.

For demonstrations see www.enhancedvision.com

All have the same purpose, to increase the size of an image and make things easier to see.

The National Council for the Blind of Ireland, (NCBI), is a charitable organisation which provides support and services to people experiencing sight loss in Ireland.

NCBI’s mission is to enable people who are blind and vision impaired to overcome the barriers that impede their independence and participation in society. They have a dedicated store, (www.ncbi.ie), supplying a range of household items, magnification aids, daily living aids, and technology devices all designed to assist people to live more independently.
